The soil and climate in the Yarra Valley means that us lucky wine lovers get to enjoy some magnificient wines. The Pinot Noir grape is one of the region's stars and with Levantine Hill considered as one of the regions many star producers, we get a very special wine. The grapes (picked from three parcels) were fermented separately and aged individually for nine months. The result is a bright crimson hue with a deeply complex and refined aromatic profile expressing intense characters of strawberry, black cherry, plum and allspice, leathery and earthy notes abound. A gorgeous, balanced, silky Pinot Noir that will become even more supple with careful cellaring. Think crispy pork belly, rack of lamb and black truffle risotto. Panel tasting notes: so, so elegant, love this drop although I'm not sure I can put it away for too long it's just so delicious!
