Stews N'Ragu's

The one thing I love about winter is getting the slow cooker out and making a cracking Ragu or Casserole dish (and let’s not forget to mention a slow cooked curry). There are SO many different types of casserole dishes out there so it really depends on the type of dish you’re making. If you’re using chicken or game meats such as duck, then try a Pinot Noir or a new-age, un-oaked Chardonnay. For a braised beef-cheek or lamb stew then pair it up with a full-bodied blend or a heavy hitting Grenache blend to bring out that stewy goodness.
